Plex Media Server 1.3.0????

In the release notes of the latest iOS app, it was stated that “In an upcoming release, the minimum supported version of Plex Media Server will be increased to 1.3.0”

I am running on a mac on version 1.12.0.4829. When I do a check for updates there are none.

If I go to PlexPass downloads I see 1.12.1.4885 as the latest version from March 16 2018

Where is 1.3.0?

1.3.0 is a much older version than what you have and that will become the minimum version

This is a mystery, are you referring to a long gone version or mention in a release announcement?

Release notes for iOS have advance warning for users with very old versions of the server that the minimum version is going up

so does server version 1.3 only come with premium plex pass? If not how do we get it?

1.3.0 is a very old version - released back in November 2016 http://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/1305852/#Comment_1305852

It is just moving the minimum version of the server up from what it was before for the minimum version the Plex for iOS can interface to. The message is a warning to users that may still be running on older versions than 1.3.0 - that this update to Plex for iOS which actually came out today (version 4.28) will not work with any server that is older than version 1.3.0

The number “12” is larger than the number “3”! Face to palm!!

Hi - this doesn’t make sense to me either? Are there two version numbering schemes going on here? Or do we need to be updating from the beta channel? My linux plex server is reporting itself as up to date from the public update channel and is showing version 1.12.3.4973. I am loathe to update my iOS app in case it stops working. Please advise.
EDIT: duh - I’m an idiot. I read it as version 1.30. Ignore me…

Hi Guys,

I bought a new LG tv, and the plex app from lg store said the server must be 1.5.1, but im facing the same issue about the server versions. Now i got the latest [OS X 10.9 Mavericks or newer] 1.14.1.5488-cc260c476 and the issue is persist. Someboby can help me to figure out, what can i do now?
