Hello, I have a very strange problem that has just presented itself in the past month or so, it seems that Pex stops running on my server after a few hours of inactivity (the icon in the tray is resident in memory until you scroll over it to make it go away). My server details are as follows: Dell PowerEdge T30, Windows Server Essentials 2016 OS, 20GB of RAM, 15 TB of hard drive space, i7-6700K processor.
I’m not sure what logs to look at, I’ve done everything else I can think of, even changing Plex to run as a service with a specific account. I’ve set the server to do auto-logon as well. Has anyone else seen the issue where Plex just stops running after so many hours of inactivity? I am using a BETA version of Plex Media Server as well, version 1.14.1.5488. My server has been up for a couple years minus the occasional reboots and software patches but in the past it would stay connected for months in between the normal maintenance.
Update: I have seen other posts with users using version 1.14.1.5488 and having issues which a rollback solved, my hope is there is a different easier way to resolve this since I have no idea how to do a rollback to a previous version.
Nobody else has had this problem? Seriously? Any help is appreciated, even if you can explain how to roll back without losing my stuff of menus.
