Plex media server does not launch at boot, but only after login

I’m running plex media server on armbian stretch and I cannot get it to launch at boot. Instead, it loads up after I log in. I know it’s probably obvious, but how do I fix this?

ARMbian? Do you refer to Raspberry Pi?

I’m running it on a rock64 and armbian stretch is the only thing stable for it that I’v found.

I know nothing of those names.

What is the core architecture? x86, x86_64, arm, something else?

I found it. https://www.amazon.com/ameriDroid-0-ROCK64-single-board-computer/dp/B076NBLG57

Moving this thread to Third-party (Raspberry Pi). @drmagoo can assist you further

I don’t remember the source, nor can I find it. I do remember it had me copy paste 2 scripts, then run them as sudo. I am also running openmediavault on this install, and armbian can install plex itself through their own app “softy” but I followed the script method so I could always have the latest version.

Seriously, I looked through my history and I cannot find that source. I also changed home directories on my server when setting it up so I lost the scripts. I know I’m not being terribly helpful here. :frowning:

 Rule #1: never use random scripts from the internet. Sorry, we cannot help you there.

If you want to start from scratch just install my repository mentioned in the above link this time. This also enables you to update Plex with the default Debian package manager apt.
