Plex Media Server scrobbler for trakt.tv

Yep, seems like you found the first bug.
I have fixed it in the attached file but now the scrobbling won't autostart so you need to manually launch it after everytime you relaunch the PMS.
Will try to fix that one later.

Updated the code to fix: http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/35626-plex-media-server-scrobbler-for-trakttv/page__view__findpost__p__272808

The code is updated so supports 2-way sync now.

Known bugs:
- [s]Autoscrobbling doesn't work[/s]
- [s]When starting scrobbling it takes alot of time (workaround hit back/esc after a few sec).[/s]
- [s]The graphics looks bad.[/s]
- [s]Seems to crash sometimes when syncing a huge library with Trakt.tv but havn't been able to detect the problem.[/s]
- Syncs the entire library each sync, should be incremental.

The installation worked this time around.

I was able to enter my username and password and received the all good.

However, if I manually select “start scrobbling”, the circle spins a looooong time… almost thought it was stalled.

But it appears to be scrobbling!

Yes, need to sort that out. Will probably launch it in the background in the future.

Great to know that it works on Windows.

I’ll watch some stuff today and let you know how it goes but so far, it’s looking GREAT! Thanks for your work on this!

Tried the Plug-in on Synology server, Working great!

Thank You so much. Works like a charm!!!

It’s not a real big deal but it doesn’t seem to be scrobbling throughout the entire show. Though, when the show is over, it does update my history with the show as watched…

I think it's pausing and unpausing that causes the "now playing" to stop showing up at the website.

The reason is a timer on the trakt.tv site. Will need to add multiple actions every 5 minutes or so to get that working but have an idea how it should look.
Will try to get that fixed ASAP.

Noob question I know, but where do I enter my Trakt username and password once i have the plug-in installed?

Open Applications -> Trakt.tv -> Settings in your Plex client.

Awesome, all good. Many thanks.

Fixed in latest version.

the application doesn’t show up under channel directories / more / installed plugins …

trying to get it to run on a unraid linux version

set the compability selection to off already …

anywhere some logs where i can see what is happening ?

http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/topic/35626-plex-media-server-scrobbler-for-trakttv/page__st__178

well there is no trakt log

i checked there … there is also nothing in the com.plexapp.system.log

anywhere else to look ?

If that log didn't exist and there is nothing in the com.plexapp.system.log file you did something wrong when you installed it.
Cannot help you but, my best guess since you have linux is messed up permissions.

Nah figured it out …

i unzipped the bundle and threw the complete bundle into the plugins folder …

guess i only needed to add “Contents” folder :stuck_out_tongue:

not the _mac_osx folder

got it working now

silly… but yeah instructions said trow the bundle into the plugins folder so i did :stuck_out_tongue:

oh Yeah the configuration page doesn’t open on an Appletv…

it appears under channels and you can open it… see the menu

but when you click to set it the page never opens

The file is named: Trakttv.bundle!
Did you read the wiki regarding plugins in Plex?

Probably is the same if you try libraryupdater, sb, sab and cp plugin so report it here: http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php/forum/76-apple-tv-2nd-gen/ This is out of the scope for this thread!

Works like a charm on my ReadyNAS with PMS on it. Nice work!
