Maybe but not right now. If you have proper scrobbling all the other things would work and I want to sort out all bugs before I implement them.
But I have ideas on how to implement it so maybe.
I think I will add watchlist support as well so that the user from inside the plugin can add/remove recommended and trending items from the watchlist.
Any suggestions as to why Trakt would have stopped showing what I am currently watching in my profile? History displays fine just not what’s on in real-time?
Are you using the real plugin or just the "proof-of-concept" script?
I believe it’s the real plug-in. The bundle shows up under Applications in my Plex client.
Strange, could you send me your logfile for the plugin. And the __init__.py from inside the plugin bundle?
There was a bug in first version of the plugin that caused the episode to be added once and not every 10 minutes.

However could you please update the first page with the plugin instead of the concept. I had to read all 11 pages to find out that you made a new plugin. And btw first page is where we arrive from track.tv site.

Added to the first post, I am planning to make a small infosite when I am done with the plugin.
There are still a couple of things I want to finish before the first version of the plugin is done.
So far my experience is that the native plugin seems a bit unreliable. It doesn’t always scrobble the show after it’s been watched.
I can't say that I have that problem. I just whipped through the entire third season of The Good Wife since Wednesday and each and every episode shows up in my history.
You probably want to make sure you're using the latest version, that you restarted the PMS after installing and that you manually enabled scrobbling after the restart. If there's still a problem, post your logs and the OS's involved.
how do I ensure I have the latest version? It marked 2-4 episodes yesterday. One of them is understandable since it was a multi-episode with the naming convention "s01e01-02" and it didn't mark the second episode.
But one was just a normal episode too.
The plugin ignore filenames so that couln't be the issue. Please send me the logs so I can have a look.

The file is named: com.plexapp.plugins.trakttv.log
I assume all clients should be able to scrobble with this, since it is installed on the server, right?
Can I close down the Plex client on the server after manually starting the scrobbler?

Yes, all clients.
And once it is started you can close down or start any client.
watched two episodes yesterday, and a movie. There's not even a log for july 2
and none of them were recorded.
Then you probably forgot to start the scrobbling after you restarted your PMS. I cannot help you without any log files.
