Plex media server unavailable after update

I just updated my plex media server yesterday and ever since it has not been available on most of the local devices on my network, it is available on devices like phones and tablets, but not on our smart TV’s. Additionally, it is not available for remote access even though I have the remote access pass.

I have tried signing out and back in on the computer running the server, I have tried clearing the cache in file explorer. All that with no results.

Its a windows laptop with windows 11 running the server

Could someone please help me?

I know there is something going on right now…so your update may just be a coincidence.

I was wondering if that might be the case as well, it worked fine between 6pm (after the update) and 9pm when it just suddenly stopped

@jwood480 On my laptop in my AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Updates folder I found an install for version 1.43.2.10687-563d026ea and when I launched the exe, it installed over the newer version 1.43.3.10828-00f62d37d which solved my problem and I can now use plex on my TV. 1.43.3.10828 is the version that caused the problem for me.

Rolling the server back to the previous version (1.43.2.10687-563d026ea) that you suggested @FeelingBeachy seems to have worked for local devices on my home network.

Remote accessing it still seems to have some issues, but looks like plex overall is having some serious issues, so I’m hoping thats temporary

Your problem seems to be similar to mine:

I also had to downgrade to 1.43.2. So it isn’t just limited to Mac servers. May I ask what kind of smart TVs are affected in your case?
