Plex music on iOS

When you select an album from an artist you get to the album view with a list of songs from the record. To play a song, you touch the play icon to the right of the song title. If you touch the title it self you get to the “play, add to queue, add to playlist,…” view.

The thing is, you ALSO get to the “play, add to queue, add to playlist,…” view by doing a longpress on the song title. Isn’t this a bit unintuitive?

I would suggest that you ONLY use longpress to get to the “play, add to queue, add to playlist,…” view and that touching the title would instead play the song. Then you would not need to touch the tiny play icon to the right.

Does anyone agree?

I would agree with this logic. I would have expected the track to play when hitting the title and a context menu to appear with a long press. I am not sure, though, that this may not be related to reusing code among different platforms. It seems like they are centering all of their clients on the design of the current Roku/iOS clients, all the way down to the version numbers.
