Humm I'll have to look into that.

I deleted the logs and the app still crashes while in the Statistics page.

I just want to add that I too have the same problem now. When I saw your earlier post on this (just a few moments ago) while I was still using v0.0.0.32 I decided to update and test this myself. After the update I first tried opening the statistics window, which led to a long-term 'progress circle', and it was when I then tried to close that window that the crash occurred. So basically I see this as a 'hang' when opening that window, followed by a crash when trying to close it.

I then opened the folder "C:\ProgramData\Plex Notify\Logs" and deleted "PlexNotify.log.xml", after which I started the program again.

In this new session I got exactly the same response again when trying to open the statistics window, so deleting the log file seems to have had no effect.

----- change of reply target ----- For: JBurlison

Here is the log file created by the second session mentioned above:

PlexNotify.log.xml (76 KB)

I've also made additional tests after that where I tried viewing some media in Plex/Web before opening the statistics window of 'Plex Notify', but not only did this result in exactly the same crashing again, but there were also no notifications when I started or ended playback.

So for me the current version of 'Plex Notify' is now completely useless...

Is there any way to revert to a previous version ?

Okay it seems that the database settings did not take I’ll push another update

:)  I think we gotta expect the odd glitch when we're using an app in development.  And so far, problems are addressed ASAP.

Keep up the good work.  It's great, even though it's just an icon im task bar now.,,

Just thought I would ask if you are still planning to add the Finish time to the statistic section as discussed in the earlier thread?

The project really seems to be coming together

:D

Sorry about that guys. Forgot to actually execute the SQL. I pushed the update this also. Im working on the dates right now for the UK folks. there will be a setting for that in the next build.

BTW, you should add a "reset" there to make a quick way to reset the filters...

Just a thought

Just a thought, would it be possible to add a finish time in the movie statistic screen, it's got pretty much everything else in terms of day and time started and % complete?

Appreciate the new option to only show the most recent play state also helps keep the view clean

Great work  :D

You know I added it to the Detail screen for a view then I just realized is this what you where talking about?

Do you have the most current .38?

Yep, even under .37 no play/stats/user (but only me, not other)

But STILL you doing a GREAT job, keep on WORKING  :D

Yep, even under .37 no play/stats/user (but only me, not other)

In settings, go to the Users tab and see if you name is there. If it is, make sure that the checkbox is checked to receive notifications.

No i'm not there, after a clean DB all users is gone, even me :-)

Did a clean DB in .37 after i have seenno stats or no view in Plex Notify (Open) was´nt there

I have now updated to .38 and the problems I reported earlier are now gone, so everything is back to working here again. :)

Don't know what was wrong :-)

But after the last repost on .38 from me, the error is over now, working 100% again :-)

Can now see Stats/Views and in "Users" to, why it's doing that, i don't know but i seems to go into its self :-)

I have tryed for 25 min. since and no stats/view and no view in "Users" but tryed again and it's works again

Sorry

Ooops!

My positive report in my previous post was premature, as further testing shows that the same (or very similar) bug can still be triggered, in a similar way.

The bug now never strikes the first time I open the statistics window, but if I close that window and then reopen it again after a short interval, then there is a high likelihood that it will crash. (So this differs from my old symptoms with an initial hang, crashing only when I closed the window.)

Here is a log file from such a crashed session, which crashed on the third attempt to open the statistics window (the first two openings were problem-free):

PlexNotify.log.xml (76 KB)

Since it is so short I might as well include it as 'code' text as well:

    Application started.

As you can see this bug has not generated any new information for the log file, which still only contains the startup entry.

Nooooooooooo still no updates in view/stats  :( that was the only time it works why?

But i have reported before, can's see i change anything in

"Users - Friendly Name/Email Address" (TextArea) Black Text when i write

"Users - Notifications Enabled/ Email Enabled" (checkbox) no flyleg, Black even at change

Oh no ok Ill do some more testing. See chats going on. In the meantime:

I have a question, Did all you guys import your DB's from PlexWatch?

I have a question, Did all you guys import your DB's from PlexWatch?

I did not. (I've never used PlexWatch.)

In any case, the remaining bug I mentioned doesn't prevent normal usage for me, since it only struck when I closed and reopened the statistics window rather quickly, which is something I wouldn't normally do. So for me the current operation is satisfactory.

I'm going to leave it running for the night now, as I'm about to go to bed soon (it's just past midnight here).
As usual I'm going to watch a comedy show episode or two before I go to sleep, so those should show up in the statistics window when I check it tomorrow.
