Hi all thabk you for your feedback. For the webserver delete your web server directory in c/programdata/Plex Notify then restart plex notify. Let me know if it works. Also I will respond to your feedback later today.

After deleting and the folder and restarting it recreates the web server folder and all it's contents but i still cannot view the rss webpage.
What database are you using on the server? MsSQL or MySQL?
I am guessing it is MSSQL, in PlexNotify it shows MSSqlCE. How can I check for certain which database is running?
Issue using 0.71 unable to see webserver rss feed on WIndows 8.1
I have configured Plex-> web to enabled and 8082 - status is 'running'. Navigating to http://localhost:8082/rss/ gives 'this page can't be displayed'. System Tray has no webserver icon - just plex notify.. ProgtamData/WebServer/WWW/rss has a index.xml file populated with info. No errors in either windows event logs not PlexNotify xml log. No obvious web server task running in task manager.
What is wrong?
Sorry I was going to patch last night but the build is broken.
Im stuck on this bitmap issue. If anyone knows C#, im having a problem witht video posters. They are staying cached in tje large object heap out in unmanaged memory land. I need to clear this cache. Everything I have tried has failed.

Alpha v0.0.0.72
- Webserver status fixed in the settings tab.
- Reduced CPU usage during update.
for people having trouble with their webserver the default web binding is ":8082:localhost" note the colon in front of the port. It is required. Also delete your WebServer directory in C:\ProgramData\Plex Notify if it say its missing a file when you start it (alpha 72 and higher).
EDIT scratch that. theres a problem.
IIS is missing a file im patching now.

Thanks for all the hard work JBurlison
After trying to run the server to gain the rss feed i was getting "unhandled exception" and other errors.
I am using windows 7 and the iss service was turned off by default, after enabling them (programs and features / Turn windows features on or off) everything works fine, just posting in case anyone else as the same problem.

Lee

This has the IIS server built into it. You dont need to install it.
Wouldn't work for me without enabling it in windows 7 features as soon as i did it worked. I'll try disabling it in windows 7 and see if it errors again.
btw im running my plex server on a nas and runnig plexnotify on a windows 7 pc (not sure if that would make any difference)

humm this is interesting, It is supposed to be portable. There must be more files missing.
Disabled the "internet information services" in windows 7 rebooted pc and the rss feed would not work (System Argument out of range exception)
Enabled iis and it's working again.
Confused but it's working for me :)
I have a slightly different error (running Windows 8), I have installed IIS as suggested but the error I receive is "The system cannot find the path specified" - "For more information about the error, run iisexpress.exe with the tracing switch enabled (/trace:error)"
So seems to be a problem loading the .exe as even why I try and launch via CMD with the trace switch as suggested it just throws an error!

Hey man, when you get a chance (no rush) could you show me to how integrate the bandwidth monitoring into your program for my Windows Server? I will donate directly afterwards :D
PlexNotify has stopped working on my computer. It seems it happend during the last autoupdate. Should I just delete all the files and install everything again? But will that make me lose all my stats? What files should I backup before deleting and reinstalling? I found some files in C:ProgramData, but there didn't seem to be all the files. And what happens when PlexNotify isn't running and someone watches a video from my server? Will PlexNotify go through the logs from Plex when I start it again and realize what has been watched while PlexNotify was off? Or are these stats gone?
