Plex Notify

Alpha v0.0.0.79
 - Fixed update.
 - Plugin settings now properly save.

If you are still having trouble updating try this:

Open the Command prompt, (Start -> run -> type "cmd" (without the quotes) and hit enter.)
run or copy/paste this into the command prompt:
rundll32 %windir%\system32\dfshim.dll CleanOnlineAppCache

Also you can try going to:
C:\Users\*YOUR USER*\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\*RANDOM LETTERS*\*RANDOM LETTERS*

All the versions of plex notify will be in this directory. (up to 5 versions back I think) Sort the folder by datetime and keep the newest one and delete all the older once that are prefixed with plex.. Alternatively you can uninstall Plex Notify and delete all of them and reinstall. You will not lose any data!!!! all data is stored in c:\ProgramData\Plex Notify.

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately this didn't work for me. Ended up deleting all the previous Plex Notify versions and clearing the online app cache and still get an error when attempting to install.

Have you tried rebooting your computer?

I am having an issue with my concurrent streams count. It is sitting at 1. Meanwhile I have 6 streams outgoing right now.

Have you noticed this before?

Humm this is a bug I will look into it. Thanks for the report!

Lots of pushbullet done tonight should be ready soon. I also gave Plex Notify the ability to receive Pushbullet notifications and display them as a toast notification.

Have you tried rebooting your computer?

Yes, unfortunately the problem persists.

Yes, unfortunately the problem persists.

I googled the error with the word "Clickonce" and it can be a registry setting that was set by the framework. You should uninstall and search your registry for "Plex Notify" and delete all keys.

Hi,

Great work on the software.. many thanks!

I have a quick question though, and although I don't think it's being caused by Plex Notify, I thought I'd check here 1st, and also see if anyone else has noticed;

I have a number of Now TV boxes (4 I think) linked to my Plex account (using the http://plex.tv/pin method), and I've noticed that I'm not recieving any notifications from any of them. I've also got a couple of shares on my account with family members, and they too do not see any activity reported from my Nox TV boxes.

Is this an issue with Plex Pass rather than Plex Notify?

Many thanks,

Stu

Just fired up my dusty Now TV box and I'm getting notifications without issues. I have RarFlix on it though, not the official Plex client.

What type of toast? In PHT or PlexNotify?

It could simply be due to the generation of the Plex app you're using.
Old versions of all Plex applications lack the new protocols needed for proper notifications.
And that goes for all Plex clients, regardless of whether they're official releases by the Plex team or 3rd-party projects.

From the info I just googled it appears that the "Now TV" is just a rebranded Roku, so you need to compare your app version and its results with the versions and results of other Roku users.

Plex notify. There is no way to make a notification in PHT at the moment.

Yesterday I formatted my computer and was going to reinstall PlexNotify today, but when I tried it, I got this long error message;

Is there anything I should do to fix this, or is it a problem with the install file I downloaded? I just pressed the download-button and ran the clickonce installer.

Also, to keep my old PlexNotify stats, can I just install PlexNotify and move the backup files to the new install path?

I am really enjoying Plex Notify and o the best of my knowledge I have everything working except web access. When I attempt to access Plex Notify at localhost:8082 I get the attached error message. Any ideas? Thanks

The root of the web has nothing in it. You need to go to localhost:8082/rss/

Thanks. That makes perfect sense and was rather obvious. I am going to use the lack of sleep as my excuse!
