Plex Official Docker Image

There seems to be an increased lag with the docker image being updated with new server updates. The docker image used to be update with a day or so. Now it seems to be much longer. A tad annoying having my server telling me to update but can’t. lol Anyone have any insight into this.

I’m wondering about it too. There was one PMS version 1 or 2 months ago that got no docker image at all… But hey most important thing is to get new features every two weeks nobody ever asked for. Who cares about updating docker images or even fixing issues that are unfixed since half a year lol

plexinc/pms-docker:beta automatically pulls in the new version on restart. No need to pull a new image manually.

plexinc/pms-docker:plexpass also pulls the new beta automatically.

plexinc/pms-docker:public will do the same thing but with the public version.

True, but just wondering why it’s taking so long for the updates to migrate to the docker image, so it initiates the update either manually or automatically.

What is your current server version, and which exact image did you use when you create your container:

  • plexinc/pms-docker
  • plexinc/pms-docker:latest
  • plexinc/pms-docker:public
  • plexinc/pms-docker:plexpass
  • Something else?

You question got me thinking. I realized the lag started when I change the server setting to beta, and I running * plexinc/pms-docker. So I changed it to * plexinc/pms-docker:plexpass, because I have plexpass. Thanks for the help
