where do I get VIP Discounts Get exclusive access to discounts on partner products
I had this question too, and didn’t see a suitable answer elsewhere, so I’m replying to this older topic.
As of 8/18, there is no VIP discount area. A newsletter was sent out in June with a 20% off code included for PP subs. That code only applied to WDs already overpriced Passport devices, and** it’s already expired**.
I’m sure the Plex marketing team means well, but this is nuking the fridge a bit. They should be marketing it as occasional promotional discounts. However, even for that to qualify, they’d have to do it more than once.
Edit: I actually just cancelled my sub. It was up for renewal, but I’m sick of seeing the bill for it. Seems they sent out 50% off promotions to some users in May, but not me. I’d buy the lifetime for $75, but $150 is silly for the relatively few benefits offered. Can’t even offset the cost with a real discount on other (useful) hardware, so it’s hard to justify it.
