Is there any advantage to installing plex server on linux mint over Windows 10?

Is Linux better when transmitting on a local network?

Linux tends to come with less overhead and can be beneficial IF you know how to use it. If you’re not familiar or willing to familiarize yourself with its inner workings, that benefit will easily be overshadowed by the perceived increase in complexity.

Edit: I’m not sure if Mint as a particular distribution is officially supported
