I recently changed to a DELL Server and now no music will play, videos work okay and i get full sound but any music just sits buffering or on other devices it just fails instantly.
I have tried various devices and they all have the same issue it will not play, it has been like this for a couple of weeks and the latest releases of the plex server have not fixed the issue.
As its a dell server there is no audio card on board but i dont think this is an issue since the videos with sound work fine.
Do you have the log files so we can see what is happening?
If it’s been a while since you tried, would you please recreate the failure (so they’re captured in the logs) before downloading the ZIP to attach here?

On closer inspection the path was incorrect but all the music was visible in the plex interface, I have removed and readded the folder and it now appears to be back on track kinda weird that plex was not showing any issues and was showing thumbs,
