Man, I hope this post is going to the right place. The new forums are pretty confusing and I can’t find the section for PlexPass holders to get premium support.
I’m going out to the sticks with some friends, and we have a TV and an AppleTV and ChromeCast, but not internet, and no router.
I know I can stream synced content from the iPhone where the content is to the AppleTV using airplay - without a router for local network or an internet connection between the two, but I’d like to avoid hauling a (relatively) big ass AppleTV with me out to the boonies.
One of us has a ChromeCast Ultra, which is much smaller to travel with. I’d like to use this, but all I can find are discussions about how this feature will be available eventually on the chromecast - something about using gues access? But it still isn’t clear.
Is there anyway to stream from an iPhone, sync’d content, to a ChromeCast Ultra without the use of a router (LAN) and internet connection?
