Hi guys,
I’ve been trying real hard to get Plex to stop transcoding my crap while sync’ing on my iPad Pro 2021 as it can literally just read anything (VLC / Infuse can, so why not Plex?). Obviously, when I play the media directly on my iPad via the Plex App, I can clearly see that Plex only transcodes the audio, not the video.
Looking at the logs, it seems that it complains about not being able to read “audio.profile”, states “no remuxable profile found” and then just goes around and transcodes both video and audio…
The one discrepancy I notice between the MediaInfo and the Profile (see below) is that the media’s audio is 6 channels, whereas the profile only allows 2 channels - I’d assume that the Audio can be transcoded, but the video left as is (just like when playing directly via the app)… and yet. Any clue?
