Plex transcoder cache

I'm noticing my AMD Trinity processor is having some difficulty with the amount of transcoding its doing for Roku clients.  As most of the content is mkv, it wants them in compliant mp4 and often at a reduced rate (typically I have remote users utilize 2.0MB/s 720p).  Since the server is doing the transcode already, it would be pretty sweet if there were an option to actually store that in cache for, say, 30 days once its been transcoded once as a full video.  Then you could direct play those items after only having been transcoded a single time, removing the need for wasted CPU cycles to transcode repeatedly the same content for different users on the same player.  Additionally, I could also then transcode them myself from CLI automagically and drop them in place for anything new that I know others will want to watch, avoiding the need to transcode at all on the fly.  Or even more, I could utilize different systems entirely to do the transcode and drop them over NFS into place or rsync them there upon completion.  It could really open things up.
