I’ve had a few media items on my watchlist for months and a few days ago I wanted to watch an old movie that’s been on my list for a while, but when I tapped on it, Plex crashed and restarted. This happens with both the Plex Android TV app (TV) and the Plex Android app on mobile devices.
Maybe someone else has this problem and an idea what could be causing it.
yeah this is happening to me too. the watchlist tab is basically broken and i am unable to open shows or movies through that tab. even searching them crashes
i noticed tho that if i watchlist something that my server doesnt have then it loads the page and doesnt crash but every item that is in my plex library/server crashes
i can open a show or movie on my iphone and chromecast to my tv but thats horrible and makes the app unusable standalone
have same issue (shield androidtv), it does not happen to all shows, but for those that it does, it seems to happen consistently.

Does this affect the new mobile app (2025.31.1) or just the legacy mobile (10.30.6) app?

I have this same issue and it seems to be only the legacy version because I have the issue only on android TV which is the 10.x version base
It works on my laptop web version and Android Samsung 20 Smartphone, but not on my Shield which has version 10.30.7.4190. Also, hit or miss, some cause a crash and some don’t.
It’s also happening in firestick max while in watch list, after you click on certain titles. If you get to click or fastenough before it’s searching for where title is available your ok. 10.30.7.4190.

From what I’ve seen, this issue seems to be linked to loading content on the pre-play screen. Until there’s a fix, you should be able to play impacted items by clicking the play button while that item is selected (e.g. in library view) or from the item’s context menu (long-pressing it).
