Plex Web Export

Oh I think I got it OK…

‘plex.js’ in folder assets\js\ change asc to desc on

current_sort_order: “desc”,

and title is asc but recently added has the most recent top.

The Movie by release date does not work although TV show does … any takers? :slight_smile:

Hello I was wondering if Plex Export could do what I am looking for. I explain very quick.
I have tried all the applications like Sickrage, Sickbeard, Sonarr and such none is doing what I look for.
All these applications are importing the existing Tv Series straight from the filesystem following and searching a path provided by the user and this is surely rather stupid.

The greatness of Plex is the ability to index files that are in different directories, recognizing the Show and the specific episodes and displaying the Show like it is in a single folder while it is not.

It would be a never ending very annoying task to manually create the dumb structure those apps are expecting to find.

I have a very big amount of Shows and plus of course all files are on a cloud drive (Amazon to be specific).

What I look for is an app that could do the job of Sonarr while importing the Tv Shows library data from directly from Plex instead of from the filesystem. The app should then be able to work normally and download the missing episodes and the new ones put all files in a folder that rclone will upload through a crontab launched script that I have written.
It is shocking that NONE of these apps is able to do such a thing.

Since so far I did not find any app around able to do this I am going to write it myself in php but I still need to be able to obtain the full data from the Plex library of TV Shows exported from Plex.

Is Plex Export doing this ?

Thanks in advance.

@francesco2013 You can get PLEX data via Plex Export but I do not think it is useful for your project. Check it:

Wouldn’t it be much easier to mount your Amazon drive on your computer as a local drive and let Sickrage/Sonarr be working on that mounted drive?

I just noticed the last time I did a Plex-Export, that Chrome did not update. Tried it with Edge and all the latest show up. Did Chrome break something?

Did a complete browser history delete and it fixed it

After latest PLEX update it seems cannot generates thumbnails from PMS. But I have good news. I fixed that.

Open cli.php file and find these lines:

$source_url = $options[‘plex-url’].substr($thumb_url,1); # e.g. http://local:32400/library/metadata/123/thumb?=date
$transcode_url = $options[‘plex-url’].‘photo/:/transcode?width=’.$options[‘thumbnail-width’].’&height=’.$options[‘thumbnail-height’].’&url=’.urlencode($source_url);

Replace above lines with this one:

$local_URL = “http://192.168.20.100:32400/”.substr($thumb_url,1);
$source_url = $options[‘plex-url’].substr($thumb_url,1); # e.g. http://local:32400/library/metadata/123/thumb?=date
$transcode_url = $options[‘plex-url’].‘photo/:/transcode?width=’.$options[‘thumbnail-width’].’&height=’.$options[‘thumbnail-height’].’&url=’.urlencode($local_URL).’&X-Plex-Token=’.$options[‘token’];

Just change 192.168.20.100:32400 with your LOCAL_IP:PORT

Change bold lines for your server and run this command:

php /home/admin/web/kaan.dogan.org/public_html/plex/cli.php -plex-url=“http://YOUR_PLEX_SERVER_URL:32400” -data-dir=“plex-data” -sections=“Movies,TV Series,Documentaries,Documentary Series,Turkish Dubbed,Charles Chaplin” -token=YOUR_TOKEN

Voila! Here is the result: http://plex.dogan.org

Hello, and thanks for this nice script. It’s nearly perfect for my use, I’m only missing one kind of info : I would have liked to show also the filename(s) in details, possibly with the absolute path. Do you think it can be extracted from Plex ? Sadly I don’t have enough programming skills to find the way to do this.

Installed PHP server on macOS. specified plex-url and token in file cli.php but it’s stuck at “Loading data from PLEX”.

Do I miss something? Your suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks!
