Plex Web Export

Confirmed the file is located at /Applications/plexexport/plex-data this is how it came when downloaded. Also, just to make sure I had the latest download I re-downloaded the latest version but I'm still getting the same results.....any ideas?

Thanks

The latest version should say the directory it is trying to write to, if possible can you copy your Terminal output (including the php command) so I can try and see what's going wrong. Thanks.

Fixed :) PHP doesn't set it's filename path absolutely when run from the command line, in other words it thought it was somewhere else. I've released a new version so if you download that it will let you export. Sorry about all the trouble you've had.

Worked perfectly! You're awesome thanks for all your help.

So I just installed it and got it working.

Looks great. Impressed by how quickly it shows the images as I scroll through 500 movies.

I saw an earlier post about it showing all the file sizes as 2GB. I have that same issue. I don’t think I have any files that are less than 2GB so not sure what would happen in that case.

Looks great! Any chance you’d put this up on Github?

Not an issue for you, I apparently don't have GD installed on the laptop, and attempts at doing so far have not been successful. But cli.php does work on the server machine where GD is installed.

It's currently just under SVN, I'll get around to moving it over so people can fork it (after tidying the code up a bit :)).

Fork me @ http://github.com/Dachande663/Plex-Export

@Dachande663 thanks for all your work on this. It looks great. If I wanted to let someone browse my library using this how would I go about doing that?

You'd need to upload to a public website. If you don't have hosting already, you'd need to find a provider.

Use dropbox (free!) and put it in your public folder.

It works great!

Perfect I hadn't thought of that! So what file do I upload?

You need to upload the entire plexexport directory except for the cli.php file.

Awesome advice, never thought of using Dropbox.

Also, it'd be really cool if people posted links to their Exports for others to see (and me to check they're working :)).

Still working on some covers :)

Wow, this is great! Thanks a lot.

I don’t like the (non)security features of php5, so I disabled it afterwards.

Thanks a lot all.

Here’s mine: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/40652/movies/index.html

iDisk/Sites will also do the work for you if you got MobileMe.

This is really well done! Love the way everything looks!

Also great usage of CSS! It’s easy to customize it to my liking. Although most things are perfect the way they are right now…
