I’ve been using Plexamp through Android Auto using the remote connection back to my home music library which is really useful when travelling, however what would i really like would be to be able to search for music by genre, album, folders etc. on the My Library tab, rather than just by artist. I have lots of compilations and mix albums and that contain multiple artists and i find it cumbersome to find stuff sometimes.
Second this.
So far, PlexAmp’s been working great in my AA, but I agree with the searching by more than just ‘Artist’.
At the moment, I’ve added A LOT to my collection again, so I can search albums via ‘Recently Added’, but I guess as time goes on, they’ll get bumped off that list and I’ll have to find a way to open those albums again.
Definitely important. At the moment you need to use the smartphone to browse the library e.g. if you want to sort by “Genre” or “Album”. So, this is not really the idea of using the app with AA. A good example for this is the implementation of AA in Cloud Player. Would be awesome if the much more powerful Plexamp would get an awesome AA integartion with easy and clearly structured AA menu as well.
I remember that a request for albums search already existed when there was only Plex for AA but the app worked so badly that the priorities were other …
With the advent of Plexamp, album search is a necessary request and the excuse that it is not possible due to Google’s limitations does not hold up when there are many similar apps that have this feature available.
Exactely…I mean, the whole idea behind an AA integration of an app is that you can fully control it with the infotainment system. Otherwise a simple Bluetooth connection with the phone in your hands can manage the same, right?! So, please Plex team, have a thought about this. Much appreciated!!
