Been using plexamp on mobile devices for just one week, but it seems it works flawless.
I recently installed on a windows machine and i have a question: how can i choose my playback device? I cannot find this option and it is hard to believe that a player nowdays don’t have this basic basic feature.
I saw on an old thread that the suggestions were to manually modify (each time you want to choose a device), files config.json or server.json, but i cannot find any of those under my instalation folder.
Thanks tom80H, but i think i did not explain correctly what i am looking for; playback device as in audio output. If i have several sound cards/usb headphones on my PC, how can i choose which one of them to be used by Plex Amp? Currently the aplication uses what windows has set as audio output default and i want to change that behaviour.
Such a setting is available on the OS level, so no reason for Plex(amp) to replicate it
In the “good old days” you could click the speaker icon in the system tray and select Open Volume Mixer... to set audio levels and output devices per application.
Apparently MS is moving this feature to some other place https://www.techspot.com/news/77251-microsoft-replacing-windows-10-volume-mixer.html
ok, so i can choose it from windows. thank you, that solves my question.
Still i find it useful if that could be chosen from the app itself as well, like (many) other apps allow it.
