When I cast using Plexamp to my AVR (Onkyo), it will work for 5-10 seconds, then it will repeat the same second in loop.
I’ve use many other software with casting to this AVR, and none have any issue.
Is there a way to fix that?
It’s always been like that, casting has always been broken from day 1 on plexamp, they are many posts about that, it’s not about specific hardware it’s every device you can cast to, chromecast…
I can remember dev answering that it will not be fixed (they don’t even seem to understand the problem) and that it will need a complete rewrite of the casting code, which is not being considered a priority (!!!)
As someone who paid plex pass lifetime for plexamp specifically I am totally disgusted by that, I still love the app but hate it so much at the same time.
To the devs at plex that won’t consider that a priority for a (paid) music software => I hate you so much and think you should be fired and have someone actually doing the job
Thank for the info, really sad that casting is not a priority, or that the client is not open source, would certainly give it a look.
I’ve paid for a full plexpass also over 10 years ago, but I guess since we paid we are not a potential customer anymore
