I currently have 1641 albums with “Various Artists” as the Album Artist, yet Plexamp only lists 12 of them under “Compilations.” I can’t seem to find any hidden or unsupported tags present in those 12 (such as the iTunes compilation tag). Any thoughts?
Make sure you don’t have multiple duplicate Various Artists entries (if so, you can merge them by changing one to e.g. VA2 and then back to Various Artists).
Thank you this worked. The trick was to remove what was already matching, not what wasn’t. I renamed the 12 to VA2 and then back again. Still not sure why those particular albums split off in the first place into a different album artist also named “Various Artists” – but all is well now.
