Plexamp Feature Request. Smartplaylists populated via downloaded items in Plexamp

I would like Plexamp to be able to populate smartplaylists with items i have downloaded for offline use. for example if i made a smartplaylist grabbing every artist i tagged with “Death Metal” the server will add every artist with that tag and i can stream it no problem. But if i am offline or if my server is out of action then i either don’t have the smartplaylist or if i had downloaded the smartplaylist then the smart playlist only has 3 days worth of artists music and not all the artists. If i have every artist that would be put in the smartplaylist by the server downloaded individually in plexamp, i think the smartplaylist should be able to grab all those artists by Plexamp.

There’s already an existing suggestion discussing an option to remove the download limit from Plexamp. I suppose this would address what you’re aiming for at its roots.

Download entire library or playlist in Plexamp

I like to have my music stored offline so as not to be at the whim of my mobile coverage, such as when I’m in the air, on the underground, or travelling to the country. I have enough storage on my phone to contain my entire library, especially if it’s been transcoded to Opus, and so that’s what I’d like to do. There’s also another suggestion asking for an option to let users access the regular library within Plexamp while offline, displaying only downloaded tracks/albums/artists/playlists/collections (or the respective subset of offline/downloafed tracks).

Feature Request - Plexamp Seamless Downloads

More than anything else in Plexamp, I would like to see the seamless integration of downloaded music into my regular albums and playlist folders. The fact that, in order to play music offline, I need to go to a downloaded music tab and scroll through the many dozens of albums and playlists I have saved in order to find what I am looking for is a huge disappointment. I propose specifically, An “offline” toggle that forces the library page to only display locally stored files. This would retain …

thanks, i would hope that with these suggestions that the devs would think to have Plexamp populate playlists/ smartplaylists with downloaded items, but you can’t know exactly what people would think about/understand. i will vote for these though and maybe put in my two cents in the comments.
