Can you force Sweet Fades onto albums too? I know the joy of the silence between, gapless, live albums and all that, but I like sweet fades a lot and would love to be able to toggle it on and off for everything.

Start playback by tapping on the first track directly, instead of using the big Play button at the top.
That won’t make a difference, the app looks for something that looks like a full album in the play queue and toggles Sweet Fades based on that. There’s no way to force it to be enable for an album.
Such a shame.
So even if I try and be sneaky and have a playlist of multiple albums, it won’t work?
Or even if you adjust the order of the album slightly?
That should work, if the tracks in the playlist are not in the same order as they are on the album.
Or if some track from the middle of the album is omitted from the playlist.

yep, or add a track after the album which isn’t track 1.
