Thanks, did that. Log has changed, but I still get "Trailers not available". Current log:
certificate on aTV?
certificate on aTV?
Yes, as I stated in my first post, I followed all the steps on http://langui.sh/201...sl-plexconnect/. The certificate is installed in the aTV. Might help others though, so thanks! Suggestions welcome!

You changed location of trailers.pem ? I mean we all have it in plexconnect/assets/certificates and settings.cfg had originally path to that location. Which is ./assets/certificates/trailers.pem
If someone can find another thing wrong with it then fine otherwise would recommend move trailers.pem into that location and have your settings.cfg change to reflect that path. Try it and see maybe it will solve the issue.
Your path is not an absolute path. Try the absolute path:
Users/yourusername/Applications/Film/PlexConnect/assets/certificates/trailers.pem
Change yourusername as appropriate
Edit. Just noticed you have no assets folder listed, if so edit appropriately.

Changed it back to the original location, the path was correct though. Now I've moved everything back to default. Might be a piece, but the problem persists...

Thanks! Changed it to the absolute path, I made things worse in a way here? Check out the log, gives an error now:
No, the problem here is that your previous Plexconnect session did not shutdown properly. Go into Activity Monitor and quit all Python processes and then restart Plexconnect.

Did that already but it didn't work. Rebooting did the trick, but the problem still persists... Really trying to wonder if this will get solved. You guys are a great help though! Log now shows:
Still looks to me like a path issue.

No other explanation IMO. Something broken with path or Certificate file.

I am facing the same issue since Apple Added the new channels couple of days ago. I have done everything in this post but i am still having the same issue same as

When on Baa`s github page on right hand side , you can either download as zip or clone to desktop. You can click on clone to desktop and it will ask you to download needed app which you can download from app store. Then after that go back to Baa s page and clone to desktop , it will copy that folder using app to your comp (just to start over, delete older folders and zips). And in future it will keep in sync with whatever new they add. have app running or run everyday and sync the commits.
Now after u get the folder. create a certificates folder in assets folder. and copy your certificate that you created earlier there. Also just see in your settings.cfg these two lines are present -> port_ssl = 443 ; certfile = ./assets/certificates/trailers.pem
and also make sure when copying certificate, copy trailers.pem file into certificates folder which you created in assets folder.
Hi, I'm sorry but I didn't get it. Where and how do I create my certificate?
I am not so good at these things. Could you please walk me through step by step?
I already downloaded "Plexconnect-master" fromm Baa's website. The link https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect/archive/master.zip
And I created the a certificates folder in assests folder. What's next?
My plexconnect screen is also attached.
Please help!
Thanks a lot in advance.
Go here and follow the steps.

I did. Nothing happened.
I use windows 8. I think this guide is for mac or iphone.
Two things:
1. What do you get when you try to connect to https://10.0.1.2/
Do you get an untrusted cert and "not serving host" message, or does it just never connect? Former, your cert is being found correctly on your server. Latter, it is not.
2. In your logfile, do you see DNS intercept of trailers.apple.com, and see the webserver serving application.js, like below?

I have the exact same issue. I can't get trailers to work even though I followed the tutorial thoroughly. Downloaded the latest plexconnect and installed the profile on ATV.
Can anyone with a working installation try two things:
On the machine running the plexconnect. Open a browser and enter the machines ip address with port 80 and with port 443 and post the results here.
In my case it would be 192.168.178.21:80.
Error response
Error code 403.
Message: Not Serving Client 192.168.178.21.
Error code explanation: 403 = Request forbidden -- authorization will not help.
But when I enter [https://192.168.178.21:443](https://192.168.178.21) I get failed to open page. I suspect that my plexconnect installation does't respond to https requests. Can anyone confirm this?
Edit:
I got it finally to work. The path to the trailers.pem have to be absolute. I tried it before but somehow it didn't work. Quick check if the path is right or not:
Enter the address of your plexconnect server in your browser with https:// and 443 as port. If you get a box asking for certificate your plexconnect installation is working properly. If not it can't find the pem file. Check the path to your trailers.pem file in the Settings.cfg.
