Trailers in unavailable Try again later.

  • I have spent a good few hours trying to get this to work with no luck. I get the error: Trailers in unavailable Try again later.

  • The cert installs. PlexConnect runs, and intercepts requests from my ATV...and passes the right ones on. I have tried generating the cert multiple times, no luck. PMS works on other clients, ipads etc.

  • Any ideas why this isn't working, all the technical stuff is below.

Cheers

Then Restart Plexconnect and visit Trailers on teh ATV again.  Once you have done this attach the plkexconnect.log file not the output in the command window.

Have you tried removing the profile and adding it again to the ATV?  i had a problem where after I updated my iOS on the atv, I was trying to update the cert on my atv at the same time to use the new iMovie, and even though it said it was updating the cert via apple configuration tool it needed to be removed first and then added.

For some reason when I set it to high, it just gives the same log....here's a screen of the console which shows whats happening anyway:

I have tried re-installing the cert a few times also.

just for the heck of it can you see if you can view https://192.168.1.3 view it from any other device other than the windows box itself, see if you have a firewall issue happening, look to see if it pops up with a cert error if so that's a plus.

Also how is the windows box connected to network and how is your atv connected?

It is "High", note the capital.
Make sure you delete the cert profile on the ATV before reinstalling.

Here a full log file: http://pastebin.com/2tKU8ZzT

Needed a capital H.

When I go to https://192.168.1.3/ on any device

I get:

Error response

Error code 403.

Message: Not Serving Client 192.168.1.3.

Error code explanation: 403 = Request forbidden -- authorization will not help.

That means you have a firewall issue, most people dont realize that even with your windows firewall disabled a lot of antivirus programs have firewalls built into them as well.  To test, open https://192.168.1.3 from your windows box itself, I bet it works, you should get a cert error.

I get the same error on an ipad and on the windows machine....both have a trusted certificate challenge before the error loads though.

When I view http://192.168.1.3:32400/web/index.html I see my plex dash.... no https??

That is expected behaviour from another client that doesn’t have the ATV user string.

According to the log you are not running the same firmware version that you posted, this is probably the issue.

Sorry I just glanced your error, yes foob is correct, that is correct ssl error, and looking at your logs it shows you have IOS 6 (5.1 for atv installed) I dont know if that version works with the method you are testing with.  Since it's atv3 you should update to a newer version.   Also you're running a much older version of Plex Media Server at 9.7.12 you should update that as well.

The newest commit gets round the pre play screen error on 5.1 but you won’t be able to select subs or audio track.
As said it would be best to update your firmware.

Ok, so I am updating plex media server.... I was using plex with media link on an LG TV so had turned off updates, as that is pretty temperamental.  What zip should I be using for Plexconnect: The main one here:https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect

When I go into the apple Tv dash, it say 6.0.2, but the log file says 5.1...which is weird right?

Yep.

Just copy the certs folder and optionally the settings.cfg file from your old PlexConnect folder.

I only started playing with this last night. so I don't have an old folder so to speak. I was using https://github.com/iBaa/PlexConnect/archive/master.zip for my install...

PMS has been updated to the latest. My firmware is up-to-date as far as I can tell. (Dash says 6.0.2)

Still no luck: Log file: http://pastebin.com/iUttjDhd

Here's a full log including a certificate install...which shows the wrong firmware ... wtf : http://pastebin.com/cP3cDaHr

Am I missing something about the firmware...the apple TV dash says 6.0.2, and for some reason PlexConnect, thinks 5.1.

User agent shows

  1. User-Agent: iTunes-AppleTV/6.0.2 (3; 8GB; dt:12)

Yet further down:

  1. {'aTVScreenResolution': '720', 'aTVFirmwareVersion': '5.1', 'aTVLanguage': 'en', 'aTVAddress': '192.168.1.19'}
  2. 14:57:29 WebServer: additional arguments:

5.1 is the default, if 'X-Apple-TV-Version' is not found in the http headers... maybe it got reworded with iOS 6.0.2? Let me check.
