Plexconnect setup "Trailers not available right now"

Your mileage may vary but sometimes a reset of all devices might shake something loose. I don't mean put to sleep and wake. I mean unplug it for 10secs and restart. PMS/ATV et al...

Tried that as well but no luck.

Another question to teh puzzle, I am not sure why the path in settings.cfg vary from user to user. It appears some users have the ./assets/certificates railers.pem others use C:\PlexConnect-XML_templates\assets\certificates railers.pem

Which one is correct back slash forward slash with or without the drive up front. I tried both and doesn't seem to make any changes.

This workaround works nicely :)

To use services that require US locality ( I am not in the US ), I needed to change the default ip adress of ip_dnsmaster  in  Settings.cfg

This used to work nicely before Apple updated ATV (http->https).  I no longer can use both Plex Connect and the services like Netflix, HuluPlus, .....

Has anyone come across a fix for that ?

Smorn82,

The path varies depending on the Operating system being used Linux/Mac like / while windows normally like \ (I say normally because some people have reported that they had to use /)

In settings.cfg you can still do that. I'm using it now.

Same here. Trailers not available.

Not with my old setup, that ran fine yesterday evening.

Not with my new setup, i.e. just downloaded brand new Plex Media Server and brand new PlexConnect install.

Trailer not available.

You are going to have to provide troubleshooting info as we have no idea what your setup, old or new, is (or was). Please provide your current setup information following the “Read Before Posting” thread stickied at the top of the forum. It also might be best to start your own specific thread to avoid confusion with other issues being discussed in existing threads.

Thank you.

The issue is, that "Trailers are not available. Please try again later".

My "old setup", that I installed three days ago, with the versions available for download at the time, ran perfectly including yesterday evening. Today after rebooting my MBA and the ATV nothing worked, I got all sorts of error messages. In hindsight that seemed to be the fault of an active VPN connection (privateinternetaccess). Turning that off betterd things a lot. While trying to figure out what's wrong, though, I installed the "new" setup as described above. Everything runs without error messages now (as long as VPN remains off). Except "Trailers are not available."

Can you edit that so the paragraph returns are maintained? Thanks.

Smorn82,

The path varies depending on the Operating system being used Linux/Mac like / while windows normally like \ (I say normally because some people have reported that they had to use /)

Python - "transportable" in nature - accepts paths with "/" in Windows, as far as I know.

I'm sorry I don't know, what you mean. The code looks to me just as it looks in the logfile (if that's what you're asking)

Yeah, I was looking at it in Tapatalk on iOS which did not maintain the formatting. Follow Baa's lead on this one.

Yes, it does look like it. I will follow with great interest.

How about some answers from your side?

What would you like to know?

maraxion... please "READ BEFORE POSTING" - and check those hints.

In your case: you missed the Apple change - trailers got encrypted. PlexConnect is outdated, you have to go through some installation hurdles.

What would you like to know?

Well... what did I ask in Post 53, other thread?

"PlexConnect's WebServer doesn't get the request to serve application.js - Are you running a firewall, blocking port 443? Is there any port forwarding in your router? A virtual machine that could interfere? Anything that would stop aTV to send a https request to PlexConnect?"

I'll have to go now, bedtime in Germany. Hope to catch you tomorrow :-)

Thanks! Il try that. Just need to find the link and guide and il give it a go!
