Huh, that’s weird considering that I’m a Android user and I put in the orphan streams feature because of Apple devices. If you had to configure things directly in the database, it probably means that it’s not grabbing info automatically and that’s causing issues later. I’ll put together a version with a log file option this weekend and we’ll get to the bottom of this.
Any Progress on a logging version to find out why no one can play unless local?
Well i uninstalled everything then started again and now it’s working (using sqllite), thanks very much for this @random.server & thank you for your help yesterday @sbcrumb . Only issue i seem to have is with the thumbnail image but i can certainly live with that.

Make sure any reference to your ip internal or external is http://ip:32400 without http my thumbs didn’t work.
@jskala I was think of ways to help out your situation. While I can’t kill direct plays, I could have it send out a warning email when the direct play bit rate is above a limit, and i’m looking at the alllll the various server XMLs again to see if i can somehow back into a transcode bit rate without writing a log parser.
@smckay79 I don’t know, it’s probably seeing it as a orphan child, I’ll do some testing and see what comes up in media sessions versus transcode sessions
@smckay79 pushed through an update addressing your issue (now monitors shared channels) and updated the orphan job watcher for sync and optimizer jobs.
