using an apple mac and access the link provided by Plex i get the following error
““PlexSign.key” can’t be opened for some reason” I’m using the current version of keynote (cost of £14.99)
and can’t seem to track the answer in either the plex forum nor synology or synology-plex forum
I’m not sure what you are trying to do with the Key. But that key file is our public signing key used for Linux packages for Synology, Ubuntu and CentOS/Fedora. It’s a standard GPG key not a Keynote file.
If you could elaborate how you ended up downloading they key and what your trying to accomplish we may be able to help solve what you need.
Im, trying to do a Plex update on my NAS (synology) but because its not a trusted developer it won’t allow me to do this
I need a Plex trusted certificate key to allow the updates to become automatic in future…
can you offer any further ideas
I followed the instructions from then Synology/Plex Forum and using the link supplied by “Plex to obtain the certificate”
I have re-installed DSM 6.1 and I’m trying to set up the Plex media server certificate however everytime i download the Plexsign.key it downloads as a keynote file. Hardware : 916+, mac mini , safari, I’ve also tried too download the key with firefox, and chrome without any success. I like to add that when I originally set up my Synology NAS i didn’t have a problem with setting up media server
Here’s a screenshot of the downloaded file
