Buffering is not an option. The only real mention about buffering was a fix in regards to duplicate notifications due to buffering. Should I just copy the relevant chunk from the config.pl-dist and point to a different path than "/usr/local/bin/homeAutomation.pl" or will that not work?
The end goal is to get a notification to just open a custom url that I specify.

Thanks. I did use that thread when I was configuring all this. It was incredibly helpful., I can't find anything in there that pertains to to the homeautomation configure chunk though.

The Plex Pass restriction was lifted since 0.9.11.4 includes Now Playing for everyone.

I was wondering if there was ever a proposed way to filter users based on name+IP rather than name+device, since I and 2 others on my same account use the Amazon Fire TV. If this hasn't already been proposed I was going to look into just coding it in myself but wanted to check before spending the time doing it.
This is all because a lot of devices do not have Multiple User support yet :(

Why would you share your admin account with everyone? You don't need to - I have a PlexPass subscription, as admin of my server, and none of my users have PlexPass. They can still watch whatever they want, on their own devices, with their own "On Deck" sections and watch history. Sharing your admin account seems dangerous.

Not that I condone this behavior. My users had the choice to watch it on something free or support Plex and watch it on something more convenient for them.

For many reasons, sharing a Plex account is not a good idea. Not to mention IP addresses are not a good indicator, as they can change and may be shared behind a nat, but I digress. One of the many reasons, and basically the main one, is the fact the PMS tracks watched statuses per plex account, not per device. So if you share an account with multiple users, everyones views will be affect each other outside of plexWatch. I don't really see a point trying to separate the views in plexWatch when the server itself does not.
I understand the workaround you employed, but this is one of the many benefits of Plex Home. If you add a user to your Plex Home, they will be allowed to use the Plex Pass apps. I am not sure the XB1 actually supports this yet, but it's the end goal. XB1 does support this, as well as the PS4.

Well, I know that much, but not sharing your admin account is, like, Komm-poo-torrs 101. It's just a bad idea no matter how you slice it.
And yeah, either watch it for free or pony up the cash for more convenience. Or jesus, just get a Roku.
Then I edited in Notepad++ and added in my username and password within the '' in the appropriate place.
But when I run plexwatch.exe from a command prompt it says "you MUST specify a myPlex_user and my_Plex_pass in the config.pl".
Hm... I'm a bit stuck!
**EDIT** - it appears that when you close notepad++ it doesn't automatically save, so I hadn't actually saved the changes to the file. It was confusing, because when I re-opened notepad++ it showed my changes, but they don't apply to the file until you click save!

Something else I've noticed is a lot of people host their plexWatch publicly which can allow someone to change settings maliciously. I added a simple php/sql authentication to every .php page. Something worth considering adding to the main git.
I'd suggest to change your password and remove their devices from your account. Add accounts for your brother/mom/etc, and add them to your Plex Home.
I don't maintain plexWatchWeb, but feel free to make a pull request at its github repo.
