Well that explains why it’s not working for you. I will have to check why it’s not giving v0.1.6 for download later tonight. Can you try?

I am not sure what's going on with your download. I have downloaded that file and when I run
plexWatch.exe --version
Version: 0.1.6
Are you moving the downloaded file to c:\plexWatch\ and overwriting the old copy? I can't figure out why you'd see an old version. Maybe try removing the exe completely so you know you have removed it and moved in a new copy.

Now i am checkimg the property details and it says product version 1.4. file version 1.4

Properly details are not important. Run plexWatch.exe --version
I know I didn't update the property details of the exe...
lol... im so sorry then ya it is 1.6
Yeah its really weird. i only show no results with grouping on. and it must see the db or else it would get a db error. So is the db not pulling the grouping info?

Nvm i got it. I guess something weird happened and it was not running the exe file anymore. which is weird because it would show now playing properly but, running it manually fixed the issue. i apologize for wasting your time :)

Now playing is not pulled from the DB, it's pulled from the PMS. Hopefully you can get the exe running again or you won't get any updates. Glad we figured it out. I was hoping it wasn't me :)ohh
ohhh that makes sense. yeah i got it i just deleted the original task and started over. I really appreciate all your work.
let me know if there is anything i can do

I can confirm that all is running great on 1.6 as well......
Rock Star, I truly appreciate your dedication to the Plex community, and I would love to use PlexWatch, but for the life of me I cannot figure out how to get it to work. I'm running PMS on my Windows 7 machine, and I think I'm installing everything properly, but I keep getting an "Unable to open script source: No such file or directory" error. I extracted the contents of the ZIP to my plexwatch folder, moved the proper .exe and config.pl files to that location, edited config.pl to my liking, and I'm at a dead end. I've been building computers for twenty years now, and I work with them extensively every day, so I know I'm comfortable around them and how they think, but maybe this is an area where I have zero competence. Is there something I haven't installed? Am I glossing over something completely? I would truly appreciate your help, because I desperately want PlexWatch's functionality for notifying me who's connected and watching what. Thanks!

Did you create the plexwatch folder in c:?
Did you enable notifications? if so which 1?
Did you point the config to your serverlog?
Did you create the task to run the exe?

Did you create the task to run the exe?
1: Created c:\plexwatch
2: Enabled notifications through GTNP (I saw the screenshot included in the package, so I know GTNP works with Win7)
3: Changed log location in config.pl to 'C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server\Logs'
4: Ran the plexwatch.exe in a command prompt. It is at this point where I get the "Unable to open script" error.
I thought that maybe my syntax for the log folder was incorrect, so I tried it a bunch of different ways to no effect. I tried entering the actual filename (Plex Media Server.log), but that didn't work either. I hate to admit it, but I haven't felt this newbie in a long time.
