PlexWatchWeb Fork with a few improvements and new features

Hi,
I’ve spend the past few weeks developing a fork of PlexWatchWeb. I’ve rewritten the whole system, and made some improvements and adjustments.

Changes:

  • Upgraded from Bootstrap 2 to Bootstrap 3
  • Centralized all code on the pages in one file (functions.php)

New features:

  • Theme support (3 themes included, switchable in settings)
  • Support for multiple languages (English and Dutch are included, switchable in settings)
  • Login support

Whats to come:

  • Support for multiple users and privileges

Screens:
White Plex theme
index.php, with some adjustments to the content

New activity dashboard

New history.php

Improved stats.php with some extra stats, and file distribution doughnuts

users.php with a graph showing the latest streams from each individual user

user.php has all content divided in tabs

settings.php including some of the new options

Plex Dark theme
Charts.php with the dark theme

Dutch version
Dutch version of charts.php

Feel free to contribute!

I would like to know what you all think, and if you would like to use this fork of PlexWatchWeb.
Please let me know what you think of this fork, and if you would like to test it.

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Forgot to mention:

  • You can write your own translations, the system uses XML files, with every string off the site in it.
  • You can also write your own themes.

Looks great! is it up on Github?

Thanks! No, not yet. I still have to fix some bugs, and work on on some error handling, but as soon as that’s done, i’ll post it to github, and put a link here.

It is up on GitHub. Please remember that it probably has some bugs.

The configfile is not working

Edit: Never mind, I forgot to change the permissions for the config diretory

I just installed this. I LOVE the layout and light theme. I starred your github page for it.

Thanks!

Thanks! That means a lot! Please let me know if you have any requests what you would like to see in the future.

Its really nice so far! One thing, when clicking on an episode that is being watched is it supposed to bring me to a page about the episode? such as who has watched that episode or how many times? Currently when I click on any movie/tv show it says “This media is no longer available in the Plex Media Server database.”

That should not happen. Yes, it should go to the info page where you can see the watching history for that specific item. Does this only happen when a user is currently watching something? One of the latest commits on GitHub was about fixing this issue. Did you pull the latest commit? It was pushed to github about 2 days ago.

It looks like if you don’t have the grouping enabled none of the history tables work. Calling a column type in the table that doesn’t exist.

@jeroenvriezema it look very very nice !!

If you add the multiple users so someone can login with their myplex account and see their stats, history, top movies or top tv shows it will be awesome!!

It will happen if there is no one watching it as well as with someone watching. With content that has never been viewed and with content that has been logged as watched by a user.

I do have the latest one that says it was posted 3 days ago now

i hereby request on the homepage that the current numbers of videos per section be listed like plex watch web so i can see how many total movies i have quickly

Hi, first of all, i love the design! Very smooth. But I can’t get it work. I’ve edited the index.php with “<?php
phpinfo(); ?>”. The site works then, with the php version test. But, when when i’m using any of the .php files provided it won’t work and i’m getting an 500 internal server error. Do you have any idea what’s wrong?

Having problem with my History stats and detailed User stats. Both are empty. Everything else works fine.

This is from the apache error log (History stats):

All I need to do is place this into /var/www/ and hit it with the browser?

Stephan if you put it in /var/www with running apache pointed at it that’s all you’d have to do. This doesn’t require MySQL and has a simple setup.

I just got min going but am wondering if I’ve set it wrong. Can this pull in data previous to its installation for plotting? Can it parse the plex log files to see what my all time is or does it start the tracking from the time of install?
