PMP Embedded For Raspberry Pi - Turn off screen instead of screen savor

Is it possible to disable the screen saver and just turn off the monitor/tv (or rather turn off the video output - HDMI)? After my PMP (Pi) sits for say 15 mins there is no need to keep the monitor on.

Also, another question… Is the PMP Embedded for Pi considered a “Desktop/PC” player or a “Streaming Player”?
