PMS macOS Dashboard Local Bandwidth doesn't align with what's being played

I’m trying to play a movie on my macOS PMS that, according to that movie’s file info, has a media bitrate of 9354 kbps (9.3 MBPS). This is the only file playing per the PMS Dashboard. However, when I look at the Dashboard’s Bandwidth Real Time chart, I’m seeing consistent readings of 50 to 92 MBPS. Why would my bandwidth by 5-10x what the bitrate is for the file that I’m playing?
