Can’t get an update to install. PMS shows me there’s an update avail, so I downloaded 1.19.5.3112 and install through the Software Updater. Software Update shows me that it is running 1.19.5.3112, and the source is plexmediaserver_1.19…3112-b23ab3896_amd64.deb.
This is how I’ve always updated, but after a restart, I’m still getting the notification to update to x.3112, and its showing that its running 1.19.3.2852.
I don’t want to remove Plex and re-install if I don’t have to. Any tips?
I’m not familiar with Ubuntu’s updater UI.
The easiest in the long term would be to simply enable Plex for automatic repository updates. With that enabled, Ubuntu should take care of updating Plex for you without further interventions.
Option 1:
manually update via Terminal
run sudo dpkg -i plexmediaserver_1.19.4.2935-79e214ead_amd64.deb (replacing the last filename with the name of the package you downloaded)
