PMS won't open after fresh install, corrupt database, missing 'log' and 'plug-in support' folders

Recently lost power while PMS had some activity, upon restarting I received the error: 'Corrupt Database - Plex Media Server was unable to open its media database." Furthermore I was unable to fix it by using both the Plex SQLite and ChuckPA’s DB repair tool.

I decided to do a fresh install, uninstalling PMS from windows following Plex Support’s steps (uninstall via windows, deleting reg. keys, removing folders), but now after installation when I try to start PMS the same “Corrupt Database - Plex Media Server was unable to open its media database” error appears. Additionally I am unable to upload any logs because there is no ‘Logs’ folder or ‘Plug-In Support’ folder(the only folders located in the PMS location are the language folders, python27.zip, and Resources folder).

Completely lost, any help is appreciated.

Additional things I have tried:

  • manually creating the ‘Plug-In Support\Databases’ folders and then trying repair tools, but nothing (also, no db file to work with anyway)

  • ensuring all drives are working, media accessible, and correct permissions (full control)

Wrong location.

Look in the Plex Data Folder. That is where the database, logs, etc are kept.

%LOCALAPPDATA%\Plex Media Server or c:\Users\user_name\AppData\Local\Plex Media Server.

The tool leaves a log file in the directory with the Plex database. Upload the log file to the thread.
