Processor spikes every few seconds

Really enjoying PlexConnect so far except for the very small hiccups in my 1080p streams.

 

Been playing with the transcoding options, but they all seem to give the same problem. I'm using a Intel i7 870 quad core @ 2.93 ghz and am seeing spikes on all 8 cores at the same time and these happen simultaniously with the hiccups on the screen (duh). I've added a screenshot of this.

 

Considering a 2.4 ghz dual core should be sufficient for 1080p, i'm kinda clueless on where to look.

 

Is there anyone that can shed some light on this?

The server will always take what it can gets. I assume if you have a lower GHZ CPU with less cores it would spike more frequently even. I have the same symptoms on my i3 3220, I was just assuming it is normal. My old mac mini with 2,3 had more spiking tbh

Fair enough.. Was surprised that I did not find similar posts on this. Is your image fluent or also with (very small) hiccups?

Its like yours, but more often because of my weaker cpu.
