PS4 w/ native Plex application and Windows Plex server that's up to date (version 0.9.11.16.958-80f1748).
When playing a 5.1 movie to the Amazon Fire TV connected to my Pioneer receiver via HDMI, it plays in 5.1.
Play the exact same movie through the PS4 connected to the same Pioneer receiver, it plays in Stereo.
When clicking on details on either platform, the Amazon Fire TV shows it encoded in 5.1, while the Plex app on the PS4 shows it as stereo.
Playing movies through Netflix on the PS4 (and video games) play in 5.1.
Any ideas on what could be the issue?
