i've made a little ruby script that places 5 random movies on your On Deck
it works by access the sqllite directly and placing 5 new records into the metadata_item_settings table with a given view_offset a view count of 0 and a rating of 10 . those values are used to cleanup on deck from random movies at each script launch hopefully preserving other on deck items.
It would be nice to be able to integrate it with plex directly but i don't know how to do it. Still, it's useful for me when i have trouble choosing what to watch, and maybe it will be to others so here's the code:

only requirement is ruby and sqllite3 gem. I've only tested in my environment which is osx mavericks with ruby 2
