I have a small problem that I can’t figure out yet.
I have set up a Pi 4 with Raspbian which runs my Plex server.
I have the phenomenon that some files are always transcoded by Plex, although they are available locally and should all be playable via DirectPlay.
It also doesn’t matter which clients I use.
Win10 via browser -> fixed via cable
LG OLED -> fixed via cable
Chromecast, iPhone, Samsung S3 Tab -> Via WLAN AC with transfer rate >300Mbit net.
One 720p file runs in DirectPlay, the other one must be transcoded by the RaspPi. I do not know why.
I have already manually increased the upload speed to 200 Mbits and released my IP including subnet and the PMS under Network.
I’m a little bit on the edge right now, why transcoding is necessary.
As an example a 720p file which runs in DirectPlay and a 720p file which always has to be transcoded.
Someone got a hint?
