RasPlex & Berryboot How To?

I have been digging around trying to find a solid walkthrough/answer on how to get RasPlex loaded & working in Berryboot.

I'm a Linux novice (maybe less) and a novice to the rest of this as well, including the Raspberry Pi 2 which I only picked up a few days ago.

I was hoping someone would be able to either point me to a solid walkthrough for beginners on how I can achieve this.

The few items I've read were from years ago and I figured it was likely not to apply to new versions of RasPlex nor the newer RPi2.

Here is what I have to work with:

Raspberry Pi 2

HDMI to a monitor

USB WiFi Dongle

32g SD micro card with Raspboot installed using several of the default selection OS's installed.

Another 4g micro SD

32g USB thumb drive

2.1a USB power

I can setup a Linux VM if needed, but my experience with Linux is minimal at best, using Windows machine for the bulk of this.

I'm really hoping someone can help me figure out this puzzle. Thanks in advance!

Search this forum, it's been done to death.

If i had found the answer I needed I wouldn't have asked, I did search, as I started in the first post.

If you can't/won't help then please don't waste my time with troll posts.

Who are you calling a troll? See my status, look at my history, and don't insult the people who make sure you have a working client for the Raspberry Pi.

As you obviously aren't capable of performing a simple basic search I have done it for you, look at https://forums.plex.tv/topic/112786-berry-boot-recent-image/?p=670020

Took me all of two seconds to search and find this. Last time you get any help from me.

I'm glad you think you're important, clearly this is the only thing you you're good at so now you think you can be condescending and arrogant to others. I did search, I did not find the post you linked, I'm sorry if I didnt take the time to read through all 400+ threads that mention BerryBoot.

Trust me when I say, I, nor anyone else needs your help, especially not when you act like in infantile troll when you give it. I'd thank you for the link, but to be honest I think your self-deluded ego has had enough inflation. And as a side note, you're not special, there are millions of self important children just like you all over the internet. Maybe next time instead of being a ■■■■ just don't answer at all, or god forbid you just provide the answer without pulling out your tiny 'status' and start jerking it all over as if anyone else honestly cares who you are.

For the record, I do appreciate the help, but I think you need to re-think how you interact with people because trust me when I say there is utterly no one that cares about your status when you insist on acting the way you do.

Read carefully, I didn't state that I was important and I certainly didn't state that I was special, what I did state was that I wasn't a troll, which from your ranting is obviously what you are. Having to revert to name calling and using foul language is not that welcome in Plex forums.

Good luck to you in your endeavours.

Well said Ned.

Well since you couldn't leave it well enough alone, I can play your little game as well.

Who are you calling a troll? See my status, look at my history, and don't insult the people who make sure you have a working client for the Raspberry Pi.

Easily one of the most self-important statements you could have possibly made. You clearly point me to your status, as if that mattered after your original troll post you didn't need to make at all. Then as if that wasn't enough you make an outrageous claim that insinuates that without you I, nor anyone, would have a working RasPlex client, massive ego stroking.

I wouldn't really say I was 'name calling' more so than I was simply pointing out how you were acting, like a ■■■■, as you did again when you tried to feign innocence and ignorance to your previous posts. So my use of ONE word you dislike doesn't make me any more of a troll then you right? Or maybe you can boast to me about how you're important in other ways, you know, like a troll does?

As for what I was here to do, I was merely trying to get help, instead I met you, and rather than actually help you acted like a troll and told me to do something I had already stated I had done. Then you, acting shocked, that someone didn't read the literal thousands of replies to threads that might have the answer decided to act like a self important ass and decided to give some backhanded insult then thinking that throwing me a link would negate the fact that you decided to take the low road.

So don't be surprised when someone else can turn your arrogance and condescension back at you, because clearly you aren't capable of taking what you dish out.

I won't bother posting in this thread again, but I did feel I should clarify your actions since you obviously aren't capable of performing simple reading comprehension (Remember when you said almost the same thing to me? Yeah totally not a dick troll thing to say right?)

It amazes me how much time you are able to invest typing all those posts, instead of admitting that you are simply not smart enough to use the search function correctly.

That happens to the best of us - don't take it to hard ;-)

I can completely understand Neds way of answering these posts which are always asking the same questions again and again.

The main problem is not anyone's ability or failure to use the search function, but rather an attitude of aggression.

We all need to be tolerant of each other in a forum like this, and avoid over-reacting to the replies we get, even if we dislike their content.

Best regards: dlanor

There are thousands of forums across the Internet where people post the same questions all the time, year after year, for a variety of reasons.  Many times it is simply a new user to that particular forum.  Sometimes the answer found via search is rather old, and we (newbies) don't know if that applies to the latest release or not.

If you can't handle all the questions, don't be a moderator, or simply don't reply.
