Hi,
I have downloaded getrasplex.exe but when I run it norton is picking it up as a virus Trojan.Gen.SMH, is anyone else getting this ?
Is it a false positive ?
@convas For what it’s worth, I scanned the one here http://sourceforge.net/projects/rasplex/files/latest/download?source=files with System Center Endpoint Protection (updated today) and didn’t find anything.
Scanned it with https://www.metascan-online.com/#scan-file
Didn’t find anything there either.
I use Symantec Endpoint Protection too (v12.1.5), and it has no complaints about my copy of the getrasplex installer.
The results @convas got must be due to some false positive of his NAV version.
Best regards: dlanor
You can always try uploading it to virtustotal.com and linking the report here. (It’ll have the hash of the file so someone can tell if it’s been modified.)
Source code is available here https://github.com/RasPlex/RasPlex/releases/tag/0.7.0 if you want to check it and verify SHA checksum.
Ran it through virustotal.com and symantec was the only positive, so I looks like its false.
Can we mark this as answered then, as it may be alarming people for no reason, perhaps also change title to ‘Rasplex - no Trojan’.
Regards
I looked at the Virustotal link – this screams false positive…
