I don’t like that, for whatever reason, “Recently Watched Movies” is no longer available as an option to include on my PMS home screen. It was deleted by PLEX and replaced with a lot of obtrusive 3rd party stuff that I have to go out of my way to disable.
If any PLEX user has figured out a hack to re-include RECENTLY WATCHED MOVIES, or has saved a previous version of the media server that included it, which might useful as a roadmap for developing a hack to include it, please share or message me.
Which client? If you’re using the web client, navigate to your movie library’s Recommended tab, hover over “Recently Played Movies,” and then click the “+” to the left of it:
Thx that did the trick. I use the web client (mac) for library management and server settings. To watch my library i use the ROKU app or the FIRE TV app. The Fire TV app is more convenient since all I need is the TV remote to do everything, but I find that the PLEX ROKU app gives me a brighter picture and better sound. It’s not my imagination. Plex on FireTV is dim for some reason, both in video and audio (I use direct play).
So, even though I have to use 2 remotes (TV & ROKU) to watch my Plex library, I do so b/c Plex on FireTV looks pretty pale.
Anyway, thx for the pointer to “Recommended.” It worked like you said on the web client and on ROKU. It wasn’t quite as apparent on the FireTV app (no “Option” presented like on web client or Roku) but I was able to add Recently Watched Movies to my Home screen.
