Re-order music playlists alphabetically and include track play counts

I am constantly adding to my playlists as I go and find they are a total mess because the tracks are ordered by when the tracks were added. This is useful for a few cases, but it would be a lot more helpful with a feature to reorder them alphabetically by artist and then alphabetically by release name. Manually doing this by dragging each track would not be practical in my case.

This could be implemented by adding artist and release columns to the playlists so we can toggle the order.

It would also be nice to add a play count column in there too!

There’s already two existing suggestions discussing this topic from different perspectives:

  2. Display playlist in table mode with option to sort/filter columns → Feature Request: Playlist tabular view with sort-able/select-able/filter-able columns for showing metadata

I suppose the 2nd one is more in line with your suggestion?
I suggest you comment/vote in whichever you consider to be the better match. This way you’ll help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes from existing threads.
