the thing it I wouldn’t necessary be a just collection. just individual film maybe.
there libraries you mentioned aren’t does provide the suggestion I’m making. unless there’s a ‘reccommend by friends/owner’ feed

Understood… so it’s really more about individually „targeted“ recommendations than a plain list/hub of content presented on the recommended hub / home page (which could be covered by publishing a collection)
yes. correct.
I would like to suggest a feature that I believe would improve the user experience, especially for families and shared accounts. Currently, there is no simple way to recommend movies directly to managed accounts. It would be fantastic if there was an option to send a recommendation to a specific managed account, similar to how we might share a movie link, or even have it automatically appear in their “Recently Added” or “Suggested” list.
The ability to recommend movies or shows directly to an account, without needing to manually create collections or interact through external communication methods, would streamline the experience and make Plex an even better platform for family and shared use.
Thank you for considering this feature!
Years later and so many people still asking for this, and still no answer why it’s not being considered.
It would be nice if you could go to a movie/show and then select to recommend to another user you share you libraries with. Then have it show up on their side as recommended movie/show watchlist. But then give that user the ability to remove the movie/show if they aren’t interested in it.
You can do that, see above
