It would be awesome to have a way to customize or randomize a recommended for you section on the home screen. currently all I have is Recently added which is nice but I would like to build my own recomendation list or with larger libraries where movies get lost in the mix I would like a way to randomize the movies in a list as a random list of moves… hope this makes sense. Thanks

Which client type? Most clients support customization of the home screen already.

You could also build a randomized smart playlist, which automatically excludes items which have been played recently: [TIP] [MUSIC] --- how to create an autoplaylist with random sort

I share my server with 6 other family members , how would I force them all to see this on their home screen… xbox, playstation, roku, firestick… they all show recently added but thats where I would like to see a recommended list I build on my server for everyone.

There is no recommendation feature.

that is correct. That is why i posted this in the Feature recommendation section. This is a feature I would like to see in a future release

Yes, and there is already a very similar request there. The goal is to collect votes in one thread, not distributing them across dozens of similar ones.

been there since 2014 with a billion comments of users wanting it yet no implementation… sad…

exactly! plex doesn’t seem to ever want to implement features us real users want… no, lets add streaming and new crap… does anyone know where the config files or xml files for the recommended sections appear? i’m tempted to try to modify them to show more features. my do rotate but are pointless, why can’t plex focus on this feature request? its been one for like you mentioned over 5 years now.

i’d vote more on feature requests but it seems like hardly any user requests ever make it into any builds. i pay for plex pass too. i want more control over the GUI esp being able to customize the “Recommended” sections for Movies or TVs. at least let me show 3-5 sections vs just the one or two i get like “Best Action Movies” or “Top Movies by insert-director-name”. or at least have these sections rotate each time the client is launched.
