I set up a plex server a while ago and it has been working pretty well. I basically went through a ton of sitcoms and other TV and told it to record just so we have some ‘background TV’ whenever we want it. Because I had it set up to record a lot of shows, a lot end up overlapping so some recordings fail. I figure no big deal… who cares… It records in order of priority. My problem is not with the recordings failing…
My problem is the annoying ‘Recording failed: tv show’ messages that keep popping up over and over whenever I watch shows on my Amazon Fire TV plex app. I don’t see any way to turn it off… So I try to watch a recording of The Simpsons and it tells me it failed to record some show I don’t care about the entire time I’m trying to watch the Simpsons! I’m sure this is an easy fix - but a lot of Google searches got me nowhere.
