Release Plex Dash for Desktops

Plex Dash running beside Plexamp on my desktop would be pretty amazing. The web app works perfectly, but it would be nice to keep an eye on things with a quick glance and not have to go back to that tab.

Keep up the good work!

That would be nice. I have no idea if the devs will be deploying Plex Dash to Windows, macOS or Linux at this time. Right now it’s just mobile, as we already have Plex Web.

It’s funny, I run an iOS emulator sometimes on my desktop to show it. It would be fairly easy to build a desktop version, but some parts of the app (e.g. the Tinder-like swiping) are more built for mobile.

That’s true – but I would really like Plex Web to get an upgrade, specifically involving correcting – or in my case, eliminating, the 'Match" feature. It just doesn’t suit my purposes, and, sometimes, it will actually change the title and everything else associated with a particular file or download.
But, I don’t need ‘close’, I need ‘exact’. Which it cannot do. The problem is there is no easy way to disconnect that feature. So, I’ve been avoiding it. The last straw came when, in reviewing my files, I was 'informed. that I had a copy of “The Ant Bully” in my files. Since I’ve never even seen that video, alarm bells went off. The movie it categorized thusly was actually an adult film. Fortunately, I have no children, but just imagine if I did.
